Pictured: Appending instanced leaves to terminal nodes. I recently dug up a sketch I had made using the UiTree block for Cinder. I had done some research into the basic rules of growth in vascular plants. I was thinking about how plants seem to grow using the same functions and properties, but with different values. I had the most fun with it when I just sort of invented trees with it. But I found that I was able to observe plants in my yard, estimate the values for their growth properties, and the result would be remarkably similar to its real life model. Here are a couple screens from the experiment. Pictured: Drawing just the core for fast rendering of many branches. Pictured: Turning the core path into a 3D mesh.
